Geelong Cricket Show featuring Jacko Mallett
SCHALLER ACCEPTS DEVELOPMENT COACH ROLE Sam Schaller has accepted the role of Junior Development coach for season 2010/2011. A product of the club's junior set-up, Sam will take charge of a group of some of the brightest junior players that the clubs hopes will step into senior action over the next two or three years. Exact details of the squad are yet to be announced, but it is fantastic to have Sam on board and heading up the squad.
JASON MALLETT APPOINTED COACH FOR 2010/2011
The club is happy to announce that assistant coach Jason Mallett will be stepping into the void left by Chris Welsford. Chris did a fantastic job in a three year stint in the role but was forced to step down because of work and family commitments. Jason, better known as Jacko, comes with a fantastic pedigree and plenty of experience around Geelong, so the club is looking forward to more success next year and beyond.
MARK SLATER SIGNS ON
The club is happy to announce the signing of former St Joseph's fast bowler Mark Slater. Mark has ample experience playing cricket in Geelong and will be a welcome addition the the BHCC's fast bowling stocks. He has already been in constant contact with new club coach Jason Mallett and is expected to fit into the fabric of the club both on and off the field beautifully.
